The Phoenix Suns are holding Goran Dragic out of his second straight game Thursday night when they face the Sacramento Kings. Dragic also sat out during the Suns' loss to the Utah Jazz on Wednesday. There's no indication he's hurt, or that he needs time to recharge. In fact, if it was up to Dragic, he would be playing, via Paul Coro of AZCentral Sports:

The Phoenix Suns are holding out a perfectly healthy Dragic, their leading scorer and passer, for the second straight game as they take on the Sacramento Kings.

“If you ask me personally, I would play,” Dragic said. “That’s why they make the decision.
“I can play. I’m in great shape. There’s always pain and bruises but you can always play through that.”
It is certainly curious timing, as the initial decision to sit Dragic came as the Suns played the Jazz. The Jazz are currently in hot pursuit of the playoffs, with the Los Angeles Lakers just a game ahead of them in the Western Conference standings. The Suns would receive the Lakers' lottery pick in the 2013 NBA draft should L.A. fall out of the playoffs.
Bright Side of the Sun: Dragic reaching elite company
The Suns maintain that they are preparing Dragic for a long Summer of Euroleague basketball and don’t want to wear him down. Dragic leads the Suns in both scoring (14.4 points per game) and assists (7.1 per game).
