Kobe Bryant injury: Bone spur in left foot, will see doctor Friday

The Lakers’ star will have his foot examined after injuring it during Thursday night’s game.

USA TODAY Sports

Kobe Bryant has a bone spur in his left foot and will see a foot doctor on Friday in Sacramento, according to Lakers reporter Mike Trudell. The Lakers play the Sacramento Kings on Saturday to close out their four-game road trip.

During the Lakers' loss Thursday night to the Milwaukee Bucks, Bryant spent time on the bench having his foot examined. He returned to the game, but was visibly limping as the match came to an end. Bryant left the Bradley Center in Milwaukee on crutches, but did tell Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports that he'd "be alright".

Bryant recently missed two games after severely spraining his ankle during a loss to the Atlanta Hawks. He has played in four games since returning from the injury.

Silver Screen and Roll: Gasol must play in the post

With Metta World Peace scheduled to miss at least six weeks after undergoing knee surgery, Bryant has become the stop-gap small forward, forcing Jodie Meeks into the starting shooting guard role.
