Justin Holiday, Jrue’s brother, to be added to 76ers roster

Justin Holiday, Jrue Holiday’s older brother, is expected to sign with the Philadelphia 76ers.

First this NBA season gave us the Morris twins in Phoenix, now it's going to give us another set of brothers on the same team. According to Yahoo! Sports' Marc Spears, the Philadelphia 76ers will add Justin Holiday, brother of All-Star Jrue Holiday, to their roster.

Justin, also a guard, is averaging 17 points and five rebounds a game for the Idaho Stampede of the NBA D-League. The 6’5 guard is in his second year out of Washington. Gino Pilato of Ridiculous Upside wrote earlier this month that Holiday’s play in March, which included a string of 30-point games but more importantly a growing reputation as a ball hawk on defense, would earn him a call up before season’s end.

“However, it has been Holiday’s ability to shine at both the offensive and defensive end which has propelled the team to victories. Holiday sports a 7-1 wingspan which wreaks havoc on the opposing team’s ability to pass the ball in a set offense. Holiday leads the D-League in steals per game, averaging 2.3 per contest.”

Holiday's call-up wouldn't even be the first sibling call up of the season. Luke Zeller, the older brother of Tyler Zeller, who spent last season with the Austin Toros, spent much of the early season on the Phoenix Suns.
