Steve Nash injury: Lakers point guard listed as day-to-day
Los Angeles Lakers point guard Steve Nash is day-to-day with a hip and back injury that took him out of each of the last two games.

He left in the fourth quarter of a 113-103 loss to the Milwaukee Bucks on Thursday and didn't make it through more than a few minutes in a 103-98 win against the Sacramento Kings on Saturday night. Nash called the injury against Milwaukee a hamstring issue that included a hip spasm, but Spears added on Saturday that it also involved his back.
Nash has dealt with back injuries throughout his career, and it’s often been related to a problematic hip and hamstring.
His health couldn't be questionable at a worse time for the Lakers. On Tuesday, Los Angeles hosts the Dallas Mavericks at Staples Center, and goes into the game tied with the Utah Jazz at a 38-36 record and just out of the eighth playoff spot. Dallas is also in the chase, but is currently 1.5 games behind the Lakers and Jazz.
Nash is averaging 12.7 points and 6.7 assists per game this season.
