NBA 2013 schedule: Hawks-Nuggets do battle Monday

The road-weary Hawks will travel to Denver on Monday to face the Nuggets, who are 25-3 at the Pepsi Center this season. The Warriors and Jazz will also be in action as they continue to jockey for playoff positioning.

The Denver Nuggets will look to continue their brilliant play at home when they take on the Atlanta Hawks Monday night at the Pepsi Center. The game is one of seven on the evening in the NBA.

The Nuggets are 25-3 in the thin air of Denver this season, and they are coming off a thrilling 105-103 home win over the Oklahoma City Thunder on Friday. Wilson Chandler scored 35 points, and Ty Lawson hit a jumper in the final second after Kevin Durant had tied the game just moments before.

Denver will certainly be more well-rested than their Atlanta counterparts, who lost in heartbreaking fashion to the Los Angeles Lakers on Sunday night. The Hawks fought back from a 16-point second half deficit and had a lead in the final minute only to see Kobe Bryant deliver a dagger in the waning moments. Atlanta will be finishing up a six-game road trip, where they have gone 3-2.

Elsewhere, the two teams behind the Nuggets in the West will be in action. The sixth-seeded Golden State Warriors will host the Toronto Raptors, while the seventh-seeded Utah Jazz will be in Milwaukee to take on the Bucks. The Warriors are just a half-game ahead of the Jazz in the standings, with the Houston Rockets nipping at their heels.
