Signed to a two-year, $24 million deal this summer as the Nets coaxed Deron Williams to re-sign with the team, Humphries is now quite the expensive bench-warmer. He's averaging 5.5 points and 5.9 rebounds per game this year, his worse numbers since the 2009-10 season.

The hashtag #HBAP, an acronym for "Humphries, (MarShon) Brooks and a pick," made its rounds on Twitter as Brooklyn offered that package to multiple teams leading into the trade deadline. More painful is the fact that Bondy reports Brooklyn opted not to trade the veteran forward to the Charlotte Bobcats in exchange for scoring guard Ben Gordon -- that deal was reportedly on the table as the trade deadline approached.
Humphries, a utility forward who is a consistent rebounder but little else, saw his minutes begin to wane over the past five games as Teletovic, a 6’9, 255-pound forward, saw in increase in minutes.
