Milwaukee Bucks point guard Brandon Jennings is set to become a restricted free agent this summer but, if he doesn't end up with a long-term contract from the Bucks, plans to leave Milwaukee the following offseason.

Brandon Jennings told Yahoo! Sports that if he plays next season on Milwaukee’s qualifying offer, he will leave as an unrestricted free agent the following offseason.

Jennings told Marc J. Spears of Yahoo! Sports that if he plays next season on Milwaukee’s one-year qualifying offer, he will not stay with the Bucks past the 2013-14 season.

Bucks general manager John Hammond told Spears he was not “taken aback” by Jennings’ stance. “A source” also told Yahoo! Sports that Jennings turned down a four-year, $40 million extension offer before this season.
Jennings is averaging 18.4 points per game this season. He's also averaging a career-high 6.6 assists per game and shooting a career-best 38 percent from three-point range. The Bucks are in eighth place in the Eastern Conference, on pace to face the Miami Heat in the opening round of the NBA Playoffs if they hold onto the spot.
