Hawks vs. Celtics final score: Boston picks up fifth straight win, 107-102

The Celtics pulled away late in overtime against the Atlanta Hawks Friday.

Paul Pierce scored 27 points with seven rebounds and seven assists as the Boston Celtics (34-27) beat the Atlanta Hawks (34-27) 107-102 Friday. It was Boston's fifth straight win and pulls the Celtics into a tie with the Hawks for fifth place in the Eastern Conference standings.

Pierce shot 10 for 16 from the field and led four Celtics in double figures. Kevin Garnett had 17 points and eight rebounds and Jason Terry had 19 points and five assists off the bench. Jeff Green scored 12 points.

Josh Smith had 32 points, eight rebounds and nine assists for the Hawks and Jeff Teague had 26 points and nine assists. Al Horford had 22 points and 13 rebounds. The Hawks had just eight bench points in the game. The second unit combined to shoot just 2 for 12 for the game.
