NBA Playoff Picture: Bulls lose more ground to Nets in East

The Bulls now sit three games behind the Nets for the No. 4 seed in the Eastern Conference.

With seemingly half their roster on the shelf, the Chicago Bulls chances for homecourt advantage in the first round of the playoffs continued to slip away on Tuesday due to a 101-98 loss to the Toronto Raptors. The Bulls are dealing with injuries to Derrick Rose, Luol Deng, Joakim Noah and Taj Gibson, and are now three games back of the No. 4 seed in the Eastern Conference thanks also to the Brooklyn Nets' blowout victory over the Philadelphia 76ers.

The Bulls’ two-straight losses have them barely holding on to the No. 5 seed, as they are now just a half game ahead of the Atlanta Hawks, who have lost three straight. The Boston Celtics are not far behind, sitting two games behind Chicago in the No. 7 spot.

Toward the top, the New York Knicks and Indiana Pacers both nabbed victories, so the Knicks remain 2½ games ahead of the Pacers for the No. 2 seed.
