Missouri Tigers junior point guard Phil Pressey will forgo his remaining collegiate eligibility and enter the 2013 NBA Draft, the player announced Wednesday.

Missouri guard Phil Pressey will forgo his final year of NCAA eligibility to enter the 2013 NBA Draft.
Pressey has also officially signed with the agency CAA Sports, which boasts clients such as NBA stars Dwyane Wade and Tony Parker.
An undersized point guard listed at just 5’10 and 175 pounds, Pressey is considered a fringe prospect going into the draft. Despite his speed and passing skills, most talent evaluators doubt his ability to score at the next level given his lack of physicality and shooting ability.
In his final year at Missouri, Pressey averaged 11.9 points, 7.1 assists and 1.8 steals per game. He struggled with his shot throughout the season, though, making just 32 percent of his three-point attempts and 38 percent overall.
The all-time leader in assists and steals at Missouri, Pressey is currently rated as the No. 81 prospect in the 2013 draft class by ESPN’s Chad Ford. The folks at Draft Express are a bit more optimistic, ranking Pressey 53rd among all prospects.
All in all, it looks like a second round selection is the best case scenario for Pressey.
