San Diego State guard Jamaal Franklin has not made a decision yet on whether or not he will declare for the NBA Draft, Aztecs coach Steve Fisher told Mark Zeigler the San Diego Union-Tribune.

The junior guard led the Aztecs in scoring, rebounding and assists, and if he declares, is projected to go in the late first round or early second round.
Fisher’s comment came shortly after CBSSports reported the junior had decided to forgo his final season in San Diego and go pro.
Fisher told Zeigler that neither he nor Franklin was contacted for the CBS story.
“I’m continuing to gather information to help him make an educated decision. But he hasn’t made a decision. I’m sure of that.”
The guard led the Aztecs in scoring (17.3 points), rebounding (9.5) and assists (3.3) per game this season. He also scored a combined 41 points in the Aztecs’ two NCAA Tournament games -- a win over Oklahoma and a loss to Florida Gulf Coast.
Though there is still plenty of time before the June 27 draft, Franklin is currently projected to go either late in the first round or sometime in the second round, meaning a contract next season would be all but guaranteed. Draft Express predicts he would go No. 22 to the Brooklyn Nets if he declared, while NBADraft.net is slightly less optimistic. They have him falling to the second round at No. 35.
