The star guard apparently tore his Achilles on Friday night -- the requisite MRI will come on Saturday to verify -- and is expected to be out of action for several months. Given how hard Kobe has worked to keep the Lakers alive in the playoff race, playing long minutes through injuries all season long, he’s no doubt disappointed he won’t be able to finish the job.

In a post-game interview, Kobe Bryant told reporters that his apparent torn Achilles is “by far” the biggest disappointment of his Lakers career and that he’ll be back.
