Jordan McRae will return to Tennessee for senior season

Tennessee junior Jordan McRae won’t enter the NBA draft.

First-team All-SEC guard Jordan McRae will return to the Tennessee Volunteers for his senior season, according to a statement released by the university on Saturday (via the Associated Press).

McRae scored 15.7 points per game during the 2012-13 season and raised the bar during conference play, scoring 19.2 points per game in SEC contests. McRae's reason for deciding not to enter the NBA Draft is simple:

"I'm not ready for my experience at Tennessee to be over."

The 6’5, 178-pound swingman out of Midway, Ga., seeked evaluation from the NBA’s undergraduate advisory committee, per the AP. He didn’t end the season on a positive note, scoring just 16 points on 6-of-27 shooting in losses to Alabama in the SEC Tournament and Mercer in the NIT.
