Trey Burke formally announced on Sunday that he will enter the 2013 NBA Draft and forgo his final two seasons as a Michigan Wolverine. The 6'0, 190 pound point guard out of Columbus, Ohio, enters the draft after leading the Wolverines to the NCAA Tournament Championship game, where they fell to Louisville 82-76.

Michigan Wolverines guard Trey Burke officially announced his entry into the 2013 NBA Draft on Sunday.

As a sophomore, Burke averaged 18.6 points and 6.7 assists per game during the 2012-13 season.
His successful tournament run only helped his rise up the NBA mock drafts. Draft Express has Burke being taken seventh overall, NBADraft.net tabs him as going sixth.
As a true point guard, Burke also has a playmaking ability as a scorer despite being undersized. Burke shot 46.3 percent from the field this past season and hit 38.4 percent of his three-point attempts.
Most importantly, Burke can rely upon his leadership ability as a strong attribute at the next level. Michigan coach John Beilein said that his point guard helped the Michigan team play well beyond its years -- the Wolverines started three freshmen in the national title game. Beilein added at the Sunday press conference that he felt like Burke played for his teammates, not the NBA, throughout his two years as a Wolverine.
