An MRI on the ankle of Denver Nuggets big man Kenneth Faried came back showing no fracture and he has officially been diagnosed with an anterior talofibular ligament strain, the team announced Monday. He will miss the next two games due to the injury.
Kenneth Faried injury: Nuggets F has sprain, will miss next 2 games
It seems Kenneth Faried has avoided the worst possible injuries, as the Nuggets announced a sprained ligament will sideline him for 2 games.

For the Nuggets, this is some good news with the playoffs just around the corner. Faried needed help walking off the court Sunday night after badly turning his ankle and there was some concern that he may have damaged his knee as well.
It appears the worst has been avoided, though, as the Nuggets haven’t ruled him out for the beginning of the playoffs.
Faried started the first 80 games of the season for Denver, playing well in an expanded role during his second NBA season. An explosive dunker, he averaged 11.5 points on 55 percent shooting and 9.2 rebounds in 28.1 minutes per game.
