The Orlando Magic finished with the worst record in the NBA, so they will have the best odds (25 percent) at landing the No. 1 overall pick in the draft. Meanwhile, the Toronto Raptors will owe their 2013 pick to the Oklahoma City Thunder if they do not land in the top three overall picks.
The Pistons and Wizards, as well as the Raptors and 76ers, finished with the same overall record, which means tiebreaker procedures will need to take over. In the event of a tie, the two teams combine their chances (ping pong balls) and split them evenly, and the winner of a coin flip on Thursday will get the extra chance (from the odd number of ping pong balls) and the lead position in the draft if neither team moves up to the top three picks.
