NBA playoff odds 2013, Bucks vs. Heat: Miami an overwhelming favorite

It’s no surprise the Heat are favored in the first round, but just how big of a favorite is Miami?

The Miami Heat rolled through the NBA regular season and oddsmakers expect them to continue to roll through the the first round of the playoffs against Milwaukee.

The Heat are such overwhelming favorites to win the series, some oddsmakers have pulled the series off the board. The odds that remain vary, but Miami is a massive favorite in any case. Sportsbet.com currently has Miami with -16500 odds to win the series, making the Bucks +6500. Miami is an even bigger favorite on Sportsbook.com as the site lists the Heat as -30000. In that case, a bet of $1 million would win $3,333.33.

While Miami is a huge favorite to advance, oddsmakers also expect the Heat to take care of business quickly. Miami is a 4/5 favorite to win the series in four games and have 23/20 odds to win the series in five games according to Bovada. The over/under on total games in the series has been set at 4-1/2 with a four-game series the betting favorite at -125.

If the Bucks do win, believing bettors will cash in. Milwaukee is +8500 to win the series according to Sportsbook. Bovada lists the Bucks with 500/1 odds to win the series in four games. Milwaukee isn’t given much of a chance to open the series with a win as Miami is a 13-point favorite in Game 1, according to Bovada.
