The Phoenix Suns parted ways with general manager Lance Blanks after another lottery-bound season Monday, Ben Golliver of Blazer's Edge reports. Phoenix finished the 2012-13 season with a 25-57 record, worst in the Western Conference.
Lance Blanks won’t return as GM of Phoenix Suns
Lance Blanks’ tenure as general manager of the Phoenix Suns has come to an end.

The Suns hired Blanks, a former NBA player, in 2010 to replace Steve Kerr, who had stepped down as GM to return to his old job as basketball analyst for TNT. The team never made the playoffs under his guide, significantly turning over the roster without managing to add many talented young players.
This season, after bringing in veterans such as Goran Dragic, Michael Beasley and Luis Scola, the Suns had their worst performance of Blanks' tenure. The firing of head coach Alvin Gentry, as well as the subsequent tabbing of front office member Lindsey Hunter as interim coach, also reportedly caused issues in the organization.
