Coming off months of rehabilitation, Los Angeles Lakers big man Jordan Hill will be available for Game 2 of the team's series against the San Antonio Spurs, Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports reports. It's a rare bit of good news for the team as it tries to avoid a 2-0 deficit in the series Wednesday night.
Jordan Hill could play for Lakers in Game 2 vs. Spurs
Returning much earlier than expected, Lakers big man Jordan Hill could play in Game 2 against the Spurs on Wednesday night.
After undergoing surgery for a torn labrum in late January, Hill was expected to miss the remainder of the season, but he steadily progressed as his team battled to reach the postseason. Once the Lakers got in, the team announced that Hill would not play in the first round, but his return has apparently been expedited.
Hill could provide the Lakers with some added size and physicality after essentially being pushed around by San Antonio's defense in Game 1. Without Kobe Bryant, L.A. needs a stronger presence inside, and the team is presumably hoping Hill might provide that.
Game 2 begins at 9:30 p.m. ET on TNT.
