If the situation wasn't desperate enough for the Los Angeles Lakers, then injuries to Steve Nash, Steve Blake and Jodie Meeks make it hard to see how much worse it can get. The team announced Thursday that Blake is out indefinitely with a hamstring issue, and Nash (hip/hamstring) and Meeks (ankle) are doubtful for the Lakers' Game 3 against the San Antonio Spurs on Friday.

The Los Angeles Lakers’ perimeter depth was struck three-fold by injuries in a Game 2 loss to the San Antonio Spurs.
Blake scored 16 points in a 102-91 loss to the Spurs on Wednesday, tying Dwight Howard for the team high, but he left with five minutes to play after pulling a hamstring on a routine drive. Blake will receive an ultrasound to determine the severity of his injury, according to ESPN.

Finally, Nash is still struggling with the hip, hamstring and back issue that kept him out of the final eight games of the regular season. Despite the limitations, Nash has played in both of the games against San Antonio. The point guard put in nine points and a team-high six assists on Wednesday, but on Thursday he’ll receive his third epidural injection on the bum hip.
The depth behind the threesome of Nash, Blake and Meeks is hardly there.
Add in the loss of Kobe Bryant toward the end of regular season, and only two guards remain on the roster after those four. Point guard Darius Morris, in his second year out of Michigan, will be counted upon. So will late-season acquisition Andrew Goudelock, a sharp-shooting guard signed before the postseason from the Rio Grande Valley Vipers.
