The Brooklyn Nets got word just before tip-off that a key player would remain in their starting lineup despite a Game 2 injury.

The news was first reported by Bulls beat writer K.C. Johnson.

The news is big for the Nets, who risked losing a 16-point-per-game scorer during the regular season if Johnson was forced to sit out on Thursday night. Johnson finished Tuesday’s Game 2 loss with 17 points after scoring 16 in a Game 1 win over the weekend.
While Johnson is in the lineup, it remains to be seen if he is limited in any way. The injury has been bothering Johnson since February.
The Bulls and Nets will tip-off at 8:30 p.m. ET and the series is tied at 1.
