The Knicks are rolling through the Celtics right now. Boston's offense can't match New York's and the Celtics deficit is being sustained in the high teens. It all seemed to be a complete meltdown for the Celtics and then J.R. Smith elbowed Jason Terry in his mug.
J.R. Smith ejected after elbowing Jason Terry for a flagrant two
As Terry guarded Smith on the right wing, Terry reached in, which Smith seemed to think was a foul. However, none was called and play continued. With Terry on his back, Smith swung the ball around and brought his elbow up directly into Terry’s jaw, knocking him to the ground.
A foul was called, Smith walked back towards the other side of the court and Terry quickly jumped up to give chase, though teammates held him back. Smith was given a flagrant-2 foul and ejected from the game. He ran quickly out from the court and into the tunnel to the team locker room.
There’s a chance he might be suspended for Game 4, but we’ll see the results of that later on.
