The Denver Nuggets hold a 66-54 halftime lead over the Golden State Warriors in Game 3 of their first-round series at Oracle Arena in Oakland, Calif.

Both teams shot better than 50 percent from the floor, continuing the theme from Game 2. Denver got the upper hand by forcing 13 Golden State turnovers and used a 13-2 run to extend its lead to 12 points, its largest lead of the series, with less than a minute remaining in the half.
Ty Lawson led all scorers with 19 points and added six assists. Stopping him will have to happen for the Warriors to rally. Here's how the other keys to the game, taken from the preview for Game 3, have panned out thus far:
Will the Nuggets slow down Curry?
Stephen Curry scored 14 points in the first half, five of which came from the free throw line. He attempted just four shots from beyond the arc and seven overall, but had a positive effect on the game with his passing, dishing out six assists.
The Nuggets’ bench production
Corey Brewer scored 12 of Denver's 22 first-half bench points. Andre Miller added six, and JaVale McGee pitched in four despite suffering a shoulder injury after taking a hard foul from the Warriors' Draymond Green. McGee re-entered the game with less than four minutes left in the half.
Golden State received solid bench production of its own thanks to Carl Landry, who scored 13 points on 5-of-6 shooting.
Battle of the boards
There weren’t a lot of missed shots to track down, but the Warriors finished the half with a slight edge, out-rebounding the Nuggets, 19-16.
