After a tumultuous and almost nonexistent college career, highly touted shooting guard Ricardo Ledo will enter the NBA Draft, according to RI Hoops. Eligibility issues kept Ledo off the court at Providence, as he was declared only “partially eligible” by the NCAA before the 2012-13 season.

Without ever logging a minute of college playing time, the 6’6 shooting guard will head to the NBA.

After playing for four high schools in five years, Ledo had offers from Connecticut and Syracuse but chose to attend Providence to play for second-year coach Ed Cooley. Being declared partially eligible, Ledo could attend classes and practice with the team but could not suit up for games. He could have gained full eligibility for the 2013-14 season had the NCAA saw fit, but the shooting guard prospect won’t be taking any chances.
Ledo joins Indiana's Victor Oladipo on the list of prominent shooting guards who have already declared for the draft. Kansas' Ben McLemore may join the bunch later today and Michigan State's Gary Harris also could before the April 28 deadline.
