The Golden State Warriors’ thrilling playoff run is over. The Spurs pulled away late for a 94-82 win to knock out the Warriors in six games. Elsewhere, the Knicks won an ugly one to force Game 6 against the Pacers.

    Parker then slammed the door on the Warriors with another three, pushing the lead to nine with under 1:30 left in the game. While he wasn’t very efficient for San Antonio through the night, he made big shots down the stretch and put the Spurs over the top.

    At least for one half, the answer is “yes.” Smith hit a three-pointer on his first shot attempt and hasn’t slowed down from there. Through two quarters of play, he has nine points on 3-of-5 shooting from the field to go with four rebounds.

    Turnovers have been an issue for Indiana, which is struggling to run a fluid offense without Hill in the starting lineup. Through two quarters of play, the Pacers have six turnovers, although it only led to three fast-break points for the Knicks.

    No one predicted Golden State would make it this far at the beginning of the season, but a moral victory would offer them few consolations if they lose in Game 6. Were it not for their dramatic 16-point collapse at the end of Game 1, the Warriors would likely have been the ones poised to move on to the Western Conference Finals.

    San Antonio is locking down on the backcourt, and Golden State needs to create different opportunities for the duo in this chess match.
