2013 NBA Playoffs highlights: Knicks avoid elimination, Spurs close out Warriors
Despite an ugly game, the Knicks stayed alive against the Pacers. Meanwhile, the Spurs closed out the Warriors Thursday night.
With George Hill out, the Pacers were forced to start D.J. Augustin against fellow former Bobcats point guard Raymond Felton. It ... it did not go so well at times.
Speaking of things that did not go well, Jason Kidd continued to not score. He missed his 17th-straight field goal, which must have been painfully close for him.
At one point, the Knicks couldn’t even complete a high-five.
Kidd’s struggles aside, the Knicks managed to beat the Pacers’ grinding defense and simply outscore their foundering offense.
In Oakland, the Warriors could not do the same. Their offense just seemed utterly exhausted as San Antonio executed their gameplan about as well as possible.
In a very scary moment, Harrison Barnes fell face-first into the floor. He had stitches, returned for the entirety of the third quarter but would miss the fourth with headaches.
Even with Stephen Curry's amazing shots like this, Golden State could not stave off Gregg Popovich's Spurs.
Thankfully for the Warriors and their fans (and in general, basketball fans who love fun teams), they have an impressive stable of young talent and will assuredly be back in contention before too long.
