Crucial late call in Nuggets-Warriors game creates controversy

The Nuggets’ best chance at extending the series evaporated with this out of bounds call.

With under 15 seconds remaining in the game and down only two points after a massive (almost) collapse by Golden State, the Nuggets had a chance to force a Game 7. Wilson Chandler drove and put up a floater that drew iron. In the ensuing scrum for the rebound, Chandler again tapped the loose ball towards the left sideline. Corey Brewer ran to grab it after it bounced, but when he got to it in midair, the ball was whistled dead.

In the screenshot and GIF above, you can see the ball bounces dangerously close to the baseline. I, myself, cannot conclusively say one way or the other. Jeez, I would be an awful referee.

Regardless, the ball was ruled out. The refs went to the replay monitor, but did not overturn the call. Shortly thereafter, the Warriors extended their lead to four on a pair of free throws and won after a Ty Lawson desperation three drew neither a swish nor a foul call.

What do you think? Good call or bad call? I’m with JaVale on this one.
