However the top of the NBA Draft shakes out, Ben McLemore will be part of it and it appears that if he had his choice, he would end up with the Orlando Magic. The Kansas shooting guard made it clear to the Orlando Sentinel that he has a soft spot for the Magic.
NBA Draft 2013: Ben McLemore sees a good fit with Orlando Magic
If Ben McLemore had it his way, he would be drafted by the Magic.

“The Orlando Magic, I think that’s a great program,” McLemore told the Sentinel. “I think I could fit perfectly in that system and that organization and help that team in different kinds of ways.”
Orlando holds the No. 2 pick in the draft, which is where McLemore could certainly go. While most consider Nerlens Noel the best player in the draft, there is no consensus No. 2 and McLemore is right there with Victor Oladipo, Otto Porter, Anthony Bennett and Trey Burke as guys who could all go after Noel.
McLemore sure hopes he is the Magic’s selection. He followed up the Sentinel’s lengthy piece on him by tweeting at the paper, “hoping to make Orlando my home.”
McLemore is a smooth shooter with the potential to score 20 points per game. The question is whether he has the attitude to be that scorer because too often at Kansas he was passive and too unselfish.
If the Magic do decide to select McLemore with the No. 2 pick, they will likely try to trade Arron Afflalo. Orlando just acquired Afflalo a year ago and he averaged 16.5 points in 2012-13, but he is due more than $7 million through 2015 and Afflalo has an option for the following year. There have been rumors that the Magic are trying to move Afflalo and if those pick up, it may be more of an indicator that Orlando is trying to make room for McLemore.
