Kirk Hinrich, the Chicago Bulls' starting point guard all year with Derrick Rose out, is a game-time decision for Saturday night's Game 7 against the Brooklyn Nets, according to AP writer Brian Mahoney. Hinrich missed the last two games – both Nets victories as they came back from a 3-1 deficit to tie the series — with a calf injury.

The Bulls could once again be without their starting point guard for Game 7.

As late as 10 p.m. Friday night, the Bulls couldn't update Hinrich's status. The 32-year-old point guard averaged 11.3 points, 5.8 assists and two steals in 40.5 minutes of action per game in Games 1-4. More importantly, however, the defensive stalwart played a key role in stifling Nets point guard Deron Williams, who has had a much greater impact with the smaller — and vomitous — Nate Robinson guarding him.
If Hinrich can't go, he'll join Rose and All-Star Luol Deng on the sidelines. Deng is still in the hospital Saturday morning after undergoing a spinal tap procedure to deal with what he said could be meningitis. Robinson was blowing chunks on the sidelines and Taj Gibson was also under the weather, so things are pretty bad for the Bulls going into the biggest game of the season.
