After gaining some national attention as a result of his play during this year's postseason, soon-to-be unrestricted free agent Nate Robinson could be ready to leave the Chicago Bulls. The agent of the dynamic-yet-undersized guard says his client would be open to a reunion with the New York Knicks if the opportunity arose, according to ESPN New York's Jared Zwerling.

After a breakout season in Chicago, Nate Robinson could be open to a reunion with the Knicks.

While Robinson still wants to play in Chicago, it's uncertain if there's room on the Bulls' roster going into next season. With Derrick Rose returning from ACL surgery to join Kirk Hinrich and former first-round pick Marquis Teague as the team's point guard options, it's hard to imagine Chicago paying good money mostly for depth.
As a result, Robinson’s agent Aaron Goodwin says returning to where he started his NBA career is an option.
“Nate’s first thought would be to remain with the Bulls, but if the Knicks’ opportunity presented itself, I am sure he would appreciate an opportunity to play in New York again,” Goodwin said.
Traded on draft day in 2005 to New York after being selected 21st overall by the Phoenix Suns, Robinson first gained his reputation as an electric bench scorer with the Knicks. During his best season, 2008-09, he averaged 17.2 points and 4.1 assists per game under a high-scoring bunch led by Mike D'Antoni.
After seeing his career derailed following a trade out of New York, Robinson rebounded with Chicago this season. Seeing a major role on the injury-marred team, he averaged 13.1 points and 4.4 assists per game. During the playoffs, he scored 16.3 points per contest as the team reached the East semifinals.
