Tom Thibodeau, Monty Williams to join Team USA basketball staff, according to report
Tom Thibodeau and Monty Williams will be assistants under Mike Krzyzewski for Team USA basketball.

Thibodeau and Williams will replace Mike D'Antoni and Nate McMillan and be on the staff for at least the next three years. D'Antoni and McMillan had both worked under Krzyzewski since 2005, helping the U.S. win two gold medals.
Both Thibodeau and Williams are defensive-minded coaches, with the Bulls’ headmaster considered one of the top defensive minds in the NBA. Thibodeau’s Bulls have been in the top three of points allowed in all three of his seasons as head coach.
The lone holdover of Krzyzewski’s staff is Syracuse coach Jim Boeheim, who decided to stay on board due to his close relationship with the Duke coach.
The next major event for Team USA is the 2014 FIBA Basketball World Cup, which will take place in Spain.
