San Antonio Spurs point guard Tony Parker hopes to be ready for Thursday's Game 4 against the Miami Heat after MRI results revealed a strained right hamstring on Wednesday, Marc J. Spears of Yahoo! Sports reports.

Arguably the most important player on the West champs, Parker headed to the locker room during the third quarter of San Antonio’s lopsided win over Miami on Tuesday with an undisclosed injury. He returned to the game briefly in the fourth quarter, but the Spurs were able to send him back to the bench early with the game already well in hand.

Afterwards, Parker discussed the injury. “I felt something in my hamstring. Hopefully it’s nothing big, just cramping or got tight on me. It was a weird feeling. I just went to make sure with the doctor I was OK,” he said.

Without Parker, the Spurs would likely have a hard time finishing off LeBron James and company, but the French star seems relatively optimistic about his chances of playing. "Hopefully I will be good tomorrow," he told Spears. Parker also took to his Facebook page to update his fans, though that post is written in French.

Over the first three games of the NBA Finals, Parker averaged 13.3 points and 6.7 assists per game. He only played 27 minutes in Game 3.
