It appears the framework of the trade that would send Kevin Garnett and Doc Rivers to the Los Angeles Clippers is set. That doesn't mean there isn't a sticking point, however, because Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports reports that the Boston Celtics want DeAndre Jordan and two first-round draft picks, but the Clippers might only be willing to send over the center and one pick.

The Celtics and Clippers are near a deal that would send DeAndre Jordan and two first-round picks to Boston for Kevin Garnett and the right to sign Doc Rivers as coach, but the Clips aren’t quite willing.

The two teams are expected to meet again Tuesday morning after talks broke down Monday night, but It seems as though the Celtics are no longer interested in chasing Eric Bledsoe -- or even throwing in a player such as Jason Terry or Courtney Lee to help relieve their salary cap woes.
It doesn't seem like one pick should hold up such a blockbuster trade -- especially one that would likely be relatively low -- if the Clippers are trotting out a Rivers-led squad featuring Garnett, Chris Paul and Blake Griffin. In fact, it seems a bit much to ask the Clips to leverage so much of their franchise's future for a deal where they take on an aging former MVP and an expensive coach -- he'll garner a $7 million salary next season -- that already seems dissatisfied in Boston anyway.
The Celtics' primary goal in dumping Garnett is to achieve some semblance of salary cap freedom in order to help rebuild around Rajon Rondo with Rivers gone. If they bring in Jordan, though, the Celtics are taking on over $22 million in salary over the next two seasons -- slightly more than the $18 million owed to Garnett next year (although the cap hit per year is lower). The Clippers would contribute $3.5 million of Jordan's salary, but an extra draft pick obviously would help sweeten the deal from the Celtics side
