The Miami Heat led the San Antonio Spurs, 18-16, after one quarter in Game 7. After a frantic Game 6, both teams struggled to find a rhythm to start the game. Shane Battier hit two three-point field goals in the final two minutes of the quarter to help the Heat take the lead after trailing through most of the quarter.

The Miami Heat made a late run in the first quarter to take the lead.
LeBron James scored four points and had one assist. Tim Duncan scored four points while also grabbing three rebounds, three steals and notching two assists. Battier leads all scorerers with six points.
Both teams struggled to score in the first quarter. Miami shot only 36 percent and turned the ball over four times. The Spurs shot even worse, at 31 percent, and had two turnovers of their own.
The biggest advantage the Spurs held in the quarter was seven points. The Heat went on a 8-0 run after Tony Parker and Duncan went on the bench, and Miami took their first lead of the game.
