Spurs vs. Heat: Mario Chalmers drills third-quarter buzzer-beater

IT’S A ME, MARIO.

Strap in. There's one quarter left for the NBA Championship, and the third quarter just ended with a Mario Chalmers bank shot 30-footer to put the Miami Heat up 72-71 on the Spurs.

Mario was having a bit of a Wario game -- after this he had 12 points on 13 shots, this was his first three -- but this kinda redeems it?

Derrick Rose just got chills, because that's from pretty much the same place he hit a rushed, random shot in the national title game to force overtime against Memphis back when he was at Kansas in 2008. That one was a bit more intentional, though. No word on whether or not he called glass here.

For what it's worth, the 30 seconds before that shot featured a) LeBron making a pretty pass that led to a hockey assist on a Shane Battier three, his fourth on four attempts and b) a pretty Manu Ginobili drive that left Chalmers just a few seconds to get up the court.

I’ll just go back to hyperventilating because these teams are pretty much tied with 12 minutes to go for the NBA title
