The pick will be an unprotected 2015 first-rounder, according to Yahoo's Adrian Wojnarowski. The Clippers have finalized a three-year, $21 million contract with Rivers, and the deal is pending league approval.

David Stern has made it clear that discussions between the Clippers and Celtics regarding the status of Rivers cannot also hold implications for future deals. Since Stern's announcement that the league would "know how to deal with" the transactions, there have been no updates on a potential trade that would send Kevin Garnett to the Clippers for DeAndre Jordan and two future first-round draft picks.
