More on Tony Snell Snell saw his draft stock rise thanks to some impressive workouts prior to the draft. Though his numbers aren’t particularly impressive, Snell has the kind of skillset that could translate quite well to the NBA. A good shooter with range and the tools to play quality perimeter defense, he fits the profile that teams are increasingly looking for in wing players.
During his junior season at New Mexico, Snell knocked down 39 percent of his three-point attempts, similar to the numbers he put up as a sophomore. There isn’t much else to his offensive game beyond the jump shooting, as he’s not great off the dribble and doesn’t attack the rim frequently, but his ability to curl off screens and hit open looks could be useful.
The Bulls needed some help on the wing, especially in terms of three-point shooting, with Nate Robinson and Marco Belinelli likely heading elsewhere in free agency. Snell will be able to provide that.
