The Dallas Mavericks moved from the No. 13 pick to the No. 16 pick in exchange for a pair of second round picks from the Boston Celtics. The Mavericks are on the move again, however, as they've traded the 16th overall pick to the Atlanta Hawks.
NBA Draft 2013: Lucas Nogueira traded to Atlanta Hawks for 18th pick and Jared Cunningham
The Dallas Mavericks continue to move down in the draft, this time trading the No. 16 pick -- Lucas Nogueira -- in exchange for the Nos. 18 and 44 picks.
The Mavericks will send Lucas Noguiera, who they selected with the 16th pick, and last year’s draft pick Jared Cunningham to the Hawks in exchange for the 18th overall pick and the No. 44 pick in the second round, according to Yahoo! Sports’ Adrian Wojnarowski.
The Brazilian Nogueira has been on the radar for quite awhile because he’s a legitimate 7-footer and played last year in the ultra-competitive Spanish ACB league. He still needs to add strength and improve his offensive repertoire, but the athletic big man has a great motor and will block shots at the next level.
The problem with “Bebe” is most teams think he may have peaked a couple of years ago, though he should still have room to improve.
