NBA mock draft 2013: Victor Oladipo’s stock rising

Oladipo and Alex Len are two prospects who have drawn positive reviews from teams early in the scouting process.

With the 2013 NBA Draft just a few weeks away, the rumors and whispers continue to swirl around the league. Here is a recap of what the experts feel will happen with the top 10 picks in their latest mock drafts.

Noel has remained at the top of just about every mock draft the past couple of weeks and only NBA Draft Net has someone other than the lanky Kentucky center going No. 1 overall.

Two players who have seen their stock rise recently are Victor Oladipo and Alex Len.

Oladipo, a junior out of Indiana, reportedly drew rave reviews from NBA front office members after meeting with the athletic wing. Given his ability to defend and shoot the ball from behind the arc, it was no surprise to see Oladipo in the top five of the majority of the mocks.

Len is an intriguing prospect. He has been limited by a stress fracture in his left ankle, but has the size and athleticism to be a dominant big man in the paint. He averaged 2.1 blocked shots this past season with Maryland, and features a solid back-to-the-basket attack that is rare in today’s game. Some have even tabbed him as a darkhorse to slide into the top three come draft night.

It also seems that if Otto Porter falls to No. 3, it’s just about guaranteed he heads to Washington. With John Wall and Bradley Beal already in the backcourt, Porter would be a fine addition at small forward. He was an efficient scorer in college and gets after it at the defensive end, two traits the Wizards lacked last season.
