The Milwaukee Bucks are pursuing Atlanta Hawks restricted free agent point guard Jeff Teague, according to ESPN's Marc Stein.
NBA free agent rumors: Bucks reportedly pursuing Jeff Teague
Despite indications that the Bucks want to bring Brandon Jennings back, they’re also reportedly pursuing restricted free agent point guard Jeff Teague.

The Bucks are facing a busy offseason, with key decisions to make on Brandon Jennings, Monta Ellis and J.J. Redick. Jennings is a restricted free agent, but he wants to return to Milwaukee and the Bucks supposedly want him back, which makes the pursuit of Teague somewhat curious.
There's an obvious link between Teague and the Bucks, as new head coach Larry Drew coached the 25-year-old point guard in Atlanta. Drew is reportedly the driving force behind Milwaukee's interest in Teague, although again, it would make little sense to go after him if they intend on bringing Jennings back.
However, perhaps the Bucks are willing to move on from Jennings if they feel that they can acquire Teague at a decent price. Teague had a nice season in Atlanta last year, averaging 14.6 points and 7.2 assists while shooting 45.1 percent from the field. Teague is more efficient than Jennings and will surely come cheaper, so this could be an interesting development to follow.
The Hawks can match any offer sheet for Teague, and with the dream of Dwight Howard looking rather bleak, they may be more inclined to cut a bit more into their cap space to do just that.
