The Los Angeles Clippers and Dallas Mavericks have discussed a sign-and-trade that would send guard O.J. Mayo to L.A. in exchange for point guard Eric Bledsoe, ESPN.com's Marc Stein reports.
Eric Bledsoe trade rumors: Clippers, Mavericks discuss deal involving O.J. Mayo
Could the Clips ship Eric Bledsoe to Dallas in order to land shooting guard O.J. Mayo?

Made available with the impending signing of Chris Paul, Bledsoe seems a sure thing to be traded sometime this summer. His name has popped into trade rumors constantly over the past few weeks, with a number emerging Monday involving soon-to-be free agents.
Should the Clippers decide to move Bledsoe, it seems clear a scoring guard would be the target. Beyond Mayo, Milwaukee's J.J. Redick and Orlando's Arron Afflalo have also been bandied about as possible options for Los Angeles in a Bledsoe deal. ESPN LA reported earlier Monday that the Clips and Bucks had already spoken about a trade.
The No. 3 pick in the 2008 draft, Mayo had an inconsistent 2012-13 season with the Mavericks. Starting hot and looking like a breakout player, he struggled down the stretch as Dallas missed the postseason. Still, his overall numbers aren’t bad -- 15.3 points and 4.4 assists per game while hitting 41 percent from beyond the arc.
For Dallas, landing Bledsoe would be a major get considering the odds Mayo leaves for nothing. After struggling through the season with Darren Collison handling the point, adding an affordable young player like Bledsoe would be hugely valuable.
