Utah Jazz rookie big man Rudy Gobert will undergo foot surgery following the conclusion of Orlando Summer League, according to a report from the French newspaper L'Equipe.
Rudy Gobert injury: Jazz rookie to reportedly undergo foot surgery after Summer League
Jazz rookie Rudy Gobert will undergo foot surgery after Orlando Summer League, keeping him out of EuroBasket 2013. Gobert is currently playing through the injury in Orlando.

French national team coach Vincent Collet revealed the news, stating that the surgery will keep Gobert from playing for France in September’s EuroBasket 2013 in Slovenia. Collet also said that the surgery is something that has been expected for some time.
The injury doesn’t appear to be extremely serious, as Gobert is playing through it for the Jazz at Summer League. Gobert is averaging 5.0 points, 5.5 rebounds and 2.5 blocks in two games thus far.
Utah acquired Gobert in a draft-night trade with the Denver Nuggets. The 7'1 center was selected by the Nuggets with the No. 27 pick in the draft and was sent to the Jazz in exchange for the No. 46 pick and cash considerations.
Utah just recently signed Gobert and fellow first-round pick Trey Burke. There's currently no timetable for Gobert's return, so it's unclear how much time he will miss.
