NBA Orlando Summer League roundup: Victor Oladipo carries Magic, Rockets heading to championship

After a pair of afternoon games on Thursday, the match-up is set for Friday's "championship game" at the Orlando Summer League. The Houston Rockets wrapped up their perfect run through the summer slate with a lopsided win over Brooklyn, while Victor Oladipo hit a game-winning shot over another highly-ranked prospect from the 2013 NBA Draft to lead the Magic.

Victor Oladipo drills game-winner against 76ers

Oladipo, the No. 2 overall pick, drilled a step-back jumper over Michael Carter-Williams with 4.4 seconds remaining in the fourth quarter to power the Orlando Magic's 90-89 victory over the Philadelphia 76ers.

Oladipo had a strong showing for Orlando, scoring 24 points, dishing six assists and notching three steals. He also made three of his five three-point field goal attempts. Andrew Nicholson scored 24 points, and Kyle O'Quinn pulled down 11 rebounds for the Magic.

Arnett Moultrie put together a double-double for Philly with 23 points and 11 rebounds. Carter-Williams scored 11 points on 3-of-10 shooting. He had nine assists but eight turnovers as well.

Houston Rockets blast Brooklyn Nets

The Houston Rockets spread the ball around and handed the Brooklyn Nets their fourth loss in as many games with a 92-76 victory on Thursday. The Rockets had five players score in double-digits and will advance to the championship game against the Oklahoma City Thunder on Friday.

The Rockets were led by Terrence Jones' 16 points and seven assists. Casper Ware was deadly from long range, draining four of his six three-point field goal attempts.

Brooklyn struggled from the field, shooting only 36 percent overall. Tyshawn Taylor scored 15 points and had seven assists to pad his stat line. Mason Plumlee had six points and five rebounds.

New Nets head coach Jason Kidd did not coach the game and instead watched with the crowd.
