The Los Angeles Lakers have added another weapon to their arsenal as 2013 NBA free agency rolls on. Mike Bresnahan of the Los Angeles Times reports that Wesley Johnson, the No. 4 pick in the 2010 draft, has agreed to a one-year deal at the veteran’s minimum with the Lakers.

He is the second player -- following Nick Young -- to join the Lakers since the club waived Metta World Peace under the amnesty provision.
Johnson shot a career best 40.7 percent from the floor in 2012-13 with the Phoenix Suns. He’s a frequent three-point shooter (5.9 attempts per 36 minutes last season) but struggles to convert at anything near league average (32 percent in 2012-13). His best pro game ever actually came against the Lakers in 2011: as a Timberwolf, he dropped 29 points on 11-21 shooting on L.A.
A year ago, the Wolves traded Johnson and a first-round pick to Phoenix for two future second-round picks. Before the 2012-13 season began, the Suns declined to pick up his fourth year option, which is typically a bad sign for young players’ NBA prospects.
Johnson recently turned 26.
