The Boston Celtics have agreed to a three-year deal with Brazilian big man Vitor Faverani, Yahoo! Sports' Marc J. Spears reports. He last played with Spanish club Valencia Basket out of Liga ACB.
NBA free agency: Celtics, Brazilian big man Vitor Faverani agree to three-year deal, according to report
The Celtics are taking a flier on Brazilian big man Vitor Faverani, who agreed to a three-year deal Monday.

Made eligible for the NBA Draft back in 2009, each of the 30 clubs passed on selecting Faverani, who was 21 years old at the time. Now 25, he's earned some attention from the league again by playing well in Spain and as part of the respected Brazilian national team.
Officially listed at 6’11, 260 pounds, Faverani certainly rocks legitimate NBA size. It’s unclear whether he’ll be bringing his game to the U.S. next season as CelticsBlog notes the team now has 18 players under contract, but this is clearly a long-term move for the rebuilding franchise anyways.
