NBA Free Agency: Magic will reportedly sign Ronnie Price

Orlando is apparently planning to add Ronnie Price as a possible insurance option for Jameer Nelson.

USA TODAY Sports

Ronnie Price will be taking his talents to the Orlando Magic next season, according to Chris Haynes of CSN Northwest. Terms of the deal aren't yet known, but Haynes reports that Price will have at least one guaranteed year in his contract.

The 30-year-old Price has played for four different NBA teams since making the Sacramento Kings as a rookie after going undrafted out of Utah Valley State. He was most recently with the Portland Trail Blazers, but was waived in the middle of last season after the team acquired Eric Maynor from the Oklahoma City Thunder at the NBA's trade deadline.

Price will likely compete for the right to back up Jameer Nelson along with E`Twaun Moore and Doron Lamb. Rookie guard Victor Oladipo played some point guard at the Orlando Summer League as well, but will likely see most of his time off the ball this year.

Price has played in 394 NBA games, averaging 3.5 points while shooting just 38 percent from the field.
