The re-signing of Chris Paul made Eric Bledsoe expendable. The young point guard was traded to the Suns along with Caron Butler in a three-team deal that netted the Clippers Jared Dudley and J.J. Redick.
Suns, Clippers both win big in 3-team trade

Mike McGinnisThe Phoenix Suns, Los Angeles Clippers and Milwaukee Bucks agreed on a three-team blockbuster trade on Tuesday. The Clippers received J.J. Redick and Jared Dudley, the Suns received Eric Bledsoe and Caron Butler, and the Bucks received two second-round picks, one from each team. The Clippers then turned around and signed Redick, a free agent, to a four-year, $27 million contract thanks to a sign-and-trade arrangement with the Bucks.
There’s a lot to unpack here, but I like the move for two teams.

Dudley is under contract through 2014-15 and has an early termination option in the final year of his current deal. He will add valuable depth and perimeter shooting to the Clippers, assuming Redick becomes a starter.
