The Los Angeles Clippers plan to woo free agent power forward Carl Landry in an effort to keep superstar point guard Chris Paul happy, according to Yahoo! Sports' Adrian Wojnarowski. New Clippers boss Doc Rivers is expected to meet with Landry on Tuesday night.
NBA free agent rumors: Carl Landry will meet with Clippers’ Doc Rivers, according to report
Chris Paul is reportedly angling for a reunion with one of his favorite New Orleans teammates.

The 29-year-old was a favorite of Paul's during the half a season they spent together with the New Orleans Hornets.
Landry is known for being very efficient everywhere he goes as he's recorded a 17.5 PER in five of his six NBA seasons, but he's also bounced around to four different teams in those six seasons. The 6'9 undersized forward averaged 10.8 points and 6.0 rebounds in 81 games for the Golden State Warriors this past year.
It’ll be very interesting to see what sort of deal Landry is seeking during free agency, but one would assume he’s more interested in a long-term investment rather than a quick money grab considering his career trajectory thus far. He’s likely looking for more than $4 million per year, though, considering he turned down that amount when declining his player option with the Warriors for next season.
