There could be an Oklahoma City Thunder reunion next summer, as Kevin Durant, Russell Westbrook and James Harden have all expressed interest in playing for Team USA in the 2014 FIBA Basketball World Cup, according to Jon Krawczynski of the Associated Press. Kevin Love has also said that he wants to play in the tournament, which will be held in Spain.

None of the four NBA stars will be playing in this week’s Team USA minicamp in Las Vegas, but it’s hard to imagine them being left off next summer’s team if they want to play. USA Basketball chairman Jerry Colangelo told USA Today’s Jeff Zillgitt that he’s not seeking any early commitments, but he did reference Westbrook’s and Love’s desire to play:

“I don’t solicit nor am I looking for early commitments or anything like that because time and circumstances change things,” Colangelo said. “But those two have indicated they would very much like to play next summer. I don’t know how many others at this point because I haven’t inquired.”

Westbrook, Love and Durant all played in the 2010 FIBA Basketball World Championships in Turkey, with Durant leading Team USA in scoring and propelling the squad to a gold medal.

All four players participated in the 2012 London Olympics, where history repeated itself as Durant led Team USA in scoring in a gold-medal winning summer.
