Nuggets draft pick Erick Green to play in Italy next season, according to report
Nuggets second-round pick Erick Green has agreed to a one-year deal with Siena, winners of seven straight Italian League championships.

Green was selected with the No. 46 pick in the draft by the Utah Jazz, but he was then shipped to the Nuggets for Rudy Gobert and cash considerations. Denver has a full roster of contracts and didn't have much flexibility to sign Green for the 2013-14 season.
The Nuggets will keep tabs on Green’s development with Siena, who has won seven straight Italian League championships and has also had recent success in the Euroleague.
Green played four seasons at Virginia Tech and blossomed into one of the nation’s best scorers. The 6’3 guard led Division I in scoring in his senior season, scoring 25.0 points per game and earning co-ACC Player of the Year honors. He shot 47.5 percent overall and 38.9 percent on three-pointers.
